Better Cake

Ugh. . .it's raining outside, and its depressing. But School is almost done with, and that mean I will have an entire month off. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But then I have to go back for my summer class Linguistics. I need it for my degree. . . .so yeah I have to get it over with.

But in between that time, I really want to go camping. I hope Tom and I can squeeze something into that.

Scrabble Cake

I love this show. It is Ace of Cakes on the foodnetwork, they made this Scrabble cake, doesn't that look awesome. I really want to get into baking now. . .heh I've been thinking about it for like the summer cause my dad's girlfriend Judy does cake decorating, she's really good at it too. There is a girl at the place I would at currently, and she is really interested in it as well. I'll have to talk with her.

Hard Times

The New cover for the seventh Harry Potter book, I can't wait!!!!

Anyways, well lately its been a little rough. . . .school seems to really be getting to me, and I'm not doing as well as I would have liked to this semester. But fall will be different, I promise. I just have high standards for myself. But So far, I have three NMC classes, HST 101, HST 111, and FRE 201. I have to take a Grand Valley class, American Lit2 I believe. I might take a gym class. . . .I've wanted to, but I'm not sure, I think it might be a good stress reliever for me though.

But the semester is almost done, and all I have is a summer class, so I have a whole month off, to train for serving, and to go camping. ^^

Sunday

This was our thirday there, Sunday. It well we tried to go to the Zoo, but it started to rain, but we did get to see some penguins.

















We went to a piano recital that Chicago Orchestra. Lars was playing, its not a really good pic, but there he is walking off stage.







At the Navy Pier, we had dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

Saturday

Okay, This is continuing on our seconday, Saturday, I made Tom go up and look like Chistipher Columbus. He was on the way to the Field Museum

China Town. It was a lot smaller then I thought it would have been, but it was still cool. It was Tom's first China Town, the one in Toronto is a lot bigger.

We wanted traditional Chicago style deep dish pizza, so we waited for about thirty minutes for one at this place called Pizzaria Due.

Chicago Trip Part One

ALRIGHT!! SO I know I haven's posted in a really long time. . . but there was a reason, Tom and I went to Chicago for spring break. It was the first time that I had ever gone anywhere on spring break, cause well I just never really got the chance to do such a thing, but now I do. . . .Here are some pics, This is the CTA, it takes you everywhere in Chicago. We went on it a million times, and for a three day visitor pass it was only 12 dollars, the best investment we made.

This is the Weber Grill restaurant, we didn't eat there, cause one there was an hour wait, and two it was like 25 bucks a person. . . .But it was still cool to see it.

This is a Thai restaurant named Dao. My uncle and aunt recommended it to use, and it was awesome, you sit on this raised platform, and you sit on cusions, and your feet hang below.

This is on our was to the Field Museum. It was a really humid kind of day, so the cloud were hanging really low in the sky.
